Virtual Campus opens its doors to all NYC Educators

Virtual Campus opens its doors to all NYC educators for blended learning opportunities. The offerings are part of a new initiative to introduce online learning as a vehicle for professional development in the Department of Education. These online learning opportunities will begin January 13, 2010 and last for six weeks:

  • Differentiating Instruction to Accommodate Learning Styles

  • Proportional Reasoning

  • Science 2.0: Using Web Tools to Promote Inquiry-Based Science

  • Transforming the Classroom with Project-Based Learning

These are no charge learning opportunities; registration is on a first come first serve basis. Blended Learning Opportunities have at least one face-to-face or real-time session and the balance of the work is completed online and facilitated by NYCDOE educators.
