Atomic Learning is not listed, and even though it is a NYCDOE software contract item, it is not NYSSL approved.
I wish there was a certification process that the state could grant qualified educators that would give them the ability to cut through all the hurdles and red tape and let us purchase what we feel our schools need with ease.
Hardware / software should be in one pot and qualified decision makers should be able to spend at will.
Very true -- I hope the move toward empowerment will eventually loose the reins for purchasing on the school level. I understand the reason for the restrictions on one hand. When I look at the list of things an uninformed school wants to purchase, I want to cringe.
